The Innsbrook Institute is a 501c3 nonprofit organization established in 2001. Today, we are host to the region’s largest Summer Music Festival and Academy.

Our Mission: With teaching, performance and appreciation of classical music as its foundation, the Innsbrook Institute offers opportunities for enrichment, enlightenment and inspiration by providing cultural and educational experiences in harmony with the natural environment.

What is the Innsbrook Institute?

The Innsbrook Institute is a music festival dedicated to providing gifted young musicians from around the world a unique opportunity for mentorship from world-class musicians. The Institute is the brainchild of resident David Halen, concertmaster of the SLSO, and our much-missed president of IBK, Ed Boyce. The Institute runs for one special week annually in early June, and is now in its 19th year!

What does the Innsbrook Institute mean to the residents of IBK?

The Institute provides residents the opportunity to hear our faculty of truly world-renowned musicians in an intimate and informal setting at multiple venues around IBK.  By attending, you are helping support scholarships and longevity of this event.

The Institute Music Festival will run from June 12-20, 2020.

Concerts are open to the public and will begin on June 12, 2020.  Tickets for concerts at Aspen Center and special events may be ordered ahead of time (recommended) or bought at the door.  Warning-some events do sell out!

These are casual events-except for the Ladies Tea -Bring it, Girlfriend!

Children/grandchildren over 5 years old who can sit quietly for an hour then absolutely! What better way to expose them to this talent or possibly develop their own musical interest? You might also consider bringing them to the Student Showcase of our young student musicians.
